What kind of games has Beaver Fever Games developed so far?
We’ve worked on projects like Wild West Blast, which provided us with valuable experience and laid the foundation for more ambitious titles. Goblin's Greed, a deep and replayable roguelike experience, was in development for over a year but has since been shelved after a reevaluation of our creative direction. More recently, we’ve started working on Everstead: Origins, a serene settlement builder that expands our creative horizon even further.
Why was Goblin's Greed shelved?
Although Goblin’s Greed showed promise in its gameplay core and atmosphere, we reached a point where the project no longer aligned with the standards and long-term vision we’ve developed at Beaver Fever Games. Over the course of its development, our design principles matured, and the project’s early foundations began to feel outdated and restrictive. Rather than forcing the game to completion with compromises, we chose to pause development and focus our efforts on Everstead: Origins — a title that better reflects our evolving style and ambitions.
This decision also marked a shift in our studio’s overall direction: we’ve committed ourselves to building a shared universe in which multiple titles interact like interlocking gears — each game contributing to a broader narrative and creative framework. While standalone projects may still emerge from time to time, our primary focus lies in developing a cohesive and immersive world that players can explore from different angles, genres, and perspectives. Elements from Goblin’s Greed may still return in future titles, repurposed or refined within this larger context.
